| On a sunny afternoon in late August the corn at Newlyn East was ready for cutting with the binder to be thrashed at the Working Weekend held at Trerice Farm, St Allen. |

| A group of members and friends congregated at Ventonarren Farm and met with member John Sweet, whose corn it was. John had his Albion binder and Massey Ferguson 135 ready to go and off they went. |

It took several hours and several men to cut and “shock up” the corn as it was a massive crop of triticale. |

 |
| We had enough corn for the working weekend and also some has been saved for thrashing at the 2006 Rally. |
